What did you do in Vegas?

You know what that dragon needs? A tat of your adorable dog to accompany him.

You are becoming very GoT Dany, Our Silver Princess, aren't you?

No, don't give her any ideas! Tattoos are a slippery slope -- one is enough! :-)

;) Nemeth is a Pernese dragon, who only uses his awesome abilities to help protect his planet. If you've ever read Dragonflight, you may understand why Mnementh and Ramoth were too of my first sci-fi heroes. In my head, Nemeth is from one of their later clutches.

Dany's dragons were adorable as children but become a real handful in the later books. I just hope she finds a way to control them without keeping them chained all the time.

And after your comment, I looked to see if I could find a picture/drawing of a beagle suitable for tattooing. See how suggestable I am? But the colours are all wrong for me - I tend towards the blue/green spectrum by preference. Maybe a psychedelic beagle???

He's lovely!

Thank you! He's a Pernese dragon - from one of Ramoth's last clutches (yes, I'm stitching together a story about him.)

Nice! Love his tail.

Thank you! The tattoo guy was a real artist - he did it freehand based on a drawing I had found online..

That looks like it hurts somethin' wicked. :-O

I'm not really a tattoo person... but Nemeth is a nice colour, and as long as you like it, that's all what matters! ;-)

Re: OUCH!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how much it did NOT hurt. Apparently the shoulder blade area isn't terribly sensitive to this kind of pain. OTOH, some of my friends who are into tattoos told me a series of horror stories about their later experiences, so I'm not planning on anything else. Well, except possibly something Superman related on the other shoulder blade.

Nemeth is very handsome indeed - a lovely blue. He's a dragonet whose look is inspried by Anne Mccaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern.

Ohhh Pretty! I love the color. I thought his name was Naman! WAIT! Is it a combo???? How cool is that?
Jenjlvsclrk on August 7th, 2013 03:41 am (UTC)
Nemeth is a tribute to Mnementh and Ramoth - my favourite Pernese dragons. I hadn't realized it was so close to being a combo of Naman and Sageeth - cool!

He looks very noble and, maybe it's just the baby-blue color, but friendly.

I've alwasy found the dragonets of Pern to be quite adorable, and the tattoo guy did a good job getting that personality down.
