Fashion - Clark Kent "style"

ClarkExposed by Ivory Kiss
Our too-hot-too-cold-and-all-too-wet weather has finally evened out, giving us a perfect spring day. I'm bursting with energy and channeled it into a vid project that I've long procrastinated over: Smallville "fashion".

I love seeing the various farmboy plaids gradually shifting over to journastic chic, not that Clark ever fully abandoned the plaid. And then there's the emergence of THRJ (the horrible red jacket) in Season 2, lasting until Season 8. I really should get me one of those.

Note that the video style is very static since I'm using a new program and haven't mastered the movement controls yet. And with over 200 images crammed into just over 3 minutes, I figured that I probably shouldn't overdo it. But let me know if you think its a bit too sedate. Also, if I've missed one of your favorite looks, just point me to a screencap and I can swap it in. Enjoy!

Thanks to acampbell and homeofthenutty for most of the screencaps.

For the next one, how about Clark's hair styles through the seasons?

:) But wouldn't that just make us all mourn the curly locks from the beginning of S3? Tom is rocking his current closely cropped hair pretty well, but nothing will ever beat that look on him for me.

Still... Haircuts over the years. Chloe, Lana and Lois have also had some interesting haircuts over the seasons. Remember Chloe's ghastly cut in Exile? And then there's TMB's wild mane, shorn so dramatically at the end of S3. Might be something in there. Got any song ideas?

Well, all I can say is, thank goodness they got rid of THRJ because I really started to hate it. I mean, ever notice how many times that thing got torn, stained, shredded and yet it still came back good as new an episode or two later?

Tom looks hot in journalistic chic. Mind you, I didn't mind him in the grey t-shirt in Odyssey. Very rugged.

I do love that rugged Odyssey look, especially combined with the stubble. Yum!!

Interesting, and possibly a bit disturbing since my take away was that Clark has the same taste in clothing that Jor-El had... 40 years earlier. (I would say some things never g out of style, but i'm not sure that's applicable in the case of plaid flannel).

*snicker* Tom must be the only man who could pull off that much flannel and still look good.

That was fun - enjoyed revisiting all of Clark's looks (with some Clex in there too.) I love his short sleeved black shirts from Exile & Crusade. And he had such cute sweaters in S1 - shame they didn't reuse those!

Yeah I agree, he mixed it up with sweaters a lot more in season 1, so it's a shame they couldn't continue that

I normally like when a show reuses wardrobe pieces sometimes for realism (I noticed they reused clothes for Lana and Chloe sometimes too, although more so in the earlier seasons), but SV took it the other extreme with Clark, particularly in seasons 4, 5, 6, and 7, when he rarely wore anything but the red jacket with blue, either that or the red t-shirt! At least they started expanding his wardrobe more in season 8

ITA about the sweaters - Clark looks so good in them. But I guess someone thought that Clark shouldn't feel the cold so wouldn't be so bundled up.
